Johnson State College Athletics announced the hiring of Camille Campanile the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development starting in October. Campanile is also in her first season as Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach.
As Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development Coach Campanile will work directly with our over 130 student-athletes on programming for life skills support in all areas including academics, athletics, personal and professional development, and service.
Campanile will look to reinvigorate a cross country program with a proud and successful history and after just one season has already made strides in doing so.
Campanile was an academic and athletic standout while at Colby College from 2001-03 where she earned NCAA Division I Academic All-America honors in 2002 while competing for the cross country skiing program. Campanile earned numerous other academic honors while at Colby College where she earned her Bachelor’s of Art Degree in English and History and was named Major of the Year for each concentration. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa for academic excellence also in 2004.
Campanile moved to on to earn Johnson State College’s Master of Art Education Student of the Year and earning her Master of Art Degree in Education in 2010.
An avid runner for most of her life, Campanile has competed in a number of run and ski races throughout the New England region in a variety of distances and race designs.
