Head Coach Mark Kaufman has been the skipper of varsity women's volleyball team at Johnson State College since the beginning of the program in the fall of 2009. 

Kaufman's leadership, guidance, and spirit helped the program improve every night out and culminated in the programs first-ever match win on on October 24 when they defeated Southern Vermont 3-0, avenging an loss earlier in the season.

Kaufman and the Badgers built on the first season by winning three matches in 2010 and earning a North Atlantic Conference playoff bid where they fell in a competitive quarterfinal match.

Kaufman took the reigns of the Badgers volleyball program after spending a season as the assistant coach at Norwich University in 2008 and helping the Cadets to a 16-9 overall record.  Kaufman is now 4-35 in two seasons as Head Coach at Johnson State.
