Ben Wells is in his second season as Assistant Men’s Soccer and now first as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Johnson State College. Ben joined the Badgers coaching staff in 2009 helping the Badgers reach the North Atlantic Conference semi-finals, the furthest they have advanced since 2002. Wells from (2007-2009) competed for the Vermont Voltage as well as directed many of their youth camps. He currently is charged with the Johnson State College Men’s Soccer recruiting and opponent scouting efforts.

 

Wells played two seasons at Franklin Pierce College, (2003-2004) where his team went to the Sweet 16 and the elite 8 respectively in the NCAA Division II National Tournament. Wells then transferred to Western New England College where he competed on two teams that advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III National Tournament.  While at WNEC, Wells also competed for the varsity baseball team.  Recently Wells' 2005 WNEC team was inducted into their athletic Hall of Fame.

 

A local product of Peoples Academy in Morrisville, Vermont, Wells played on two State Championship teams. Currently, Wells is a Vermont ODP staff coach, co-founder of the Northern Vermont Indoor Soccer League (NVISL), and is working towards his Master of Education degree at Johnson State College.
