THE PERFORMANCE(S): Deuell ended her stellar career at Johnson on an individual high-note by surpassing the 1,000 career point mark on Saturday in a 68-60 loss at Maine Maritime, her final game. Deuell kept the Badgers close throughout by scoring a game-high 26 points on the day. This came following a career-high 30 points on Friday night at Husson, a competitive 74-61 loss. Deuell also scored 12 points in a loss at Castleton on Tuesday. Deuell is the seventh Lady Badger to surpass 1,000 career points.
DEUELL SAYS: "Going into this weekend with two games left to my career as a Johnson State Badger left me with mixed feelings of excitement and sadness. I was 43 points away from hitting my 1,000 point mark and was extremely happy after making my second foul shot to put me to that mark especially in the last game of my career. I wanted it so bad. What made it even more special for me was being able to share that moment with my JSC family. I am so proud of all of the girls on the team and how we have grown as a team over the length of the season. I'm going to miss playing with them next year, but I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the season than traveling to Maine and playing two great, competitive games. This program took a huge step forward this year and I see nothing but great things happening for it in the future.
