Michael Loughran enters his third year as the men’s lacrosse head coach.
Prior to Johnson, Loughran helped start the boys and girls lacrosse programs as Stowe High School where he is the head coach of the boys program. Loughran led Stowe to a Mountain League Championship in 2012, their first as a varsity program and playing in Vermont’s Division II. The program has won the Mountain League every year since and was also honored in 2012 and 2014 with the Bob Abrahamson Award, awarded for sportsmanship in Division II and presented by the Vermont Lacrosse Officials Association.
A former student-athlete himself, Loughran had an impressive lacrosse career at Lehigh University, a NCAA Division I program.
Loughran came to Vermont shortly after stepping down as the Chief Operating Officer of Airline Hydraulics Corporation in Bensalem, Pennsylvania in 2010. Loughran remains a Corporate Advisor and member of the Board of Directors for Airline Hydraulics.
Loughran and his family reside in Stowe, Vt. Loughran looks forward to improving the men's lacrosse team's record over the coming seasons.
