Hornets Sting Badgers in Season Opener
Johnson fell to Lyndon St. 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon for the Badgers' home opener. The Badgers start the season off (0-1-0) while Lyndon advances to (1-0-0).

Colonels Down Badgers
Curry College defeated visiting Johnson State, 4-1, on Tuesday evening at the Walter M. Katz Field. With the win the Colonels improve to 1-0 overall while the Badgers fall to 0-1 on the season.

The Johnson State College men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 win in its season opener against The College of St. Joe's (Vt.). Johnson State improves to 1-0 overall while SJC falls to 0-1 on the season.

Soccer Teams Volunteer at Third Annual World Soccer Festival
Thirty members of the men’s and women’s soccer programs traveled to Hyde Park on Saturday, August 29th to volunteer at the World Soccer Festival. The student-athletes continued this tradition for the third year, serving as referees for the 3v3 youth soccer tournament and ambassadors of the game.

Women's Soccer Continues Strong Tradition of Community Service
Women's Soccer traveled to Hosmer Point for their third annual preseason trip to participate in community work and team building. This year, the team painted the exterior of the dining hall and game room to prepare the camp for upcoming year.

Smith Named Assistant Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach
The Johnson State College athletic department has hired Miles Smith Jr. '09 as the assistant athletic director and head men’s basketball coach effective August 10th. Smith replaces Tommy Verdell who served as head coach for two years before leaving to be the assistant director of athletics and compliance officer at Bates College.

Terriers Take Two on Senior Day
The Thomas College softball team swept the Badgers on their senior day on Wednesday afternoon at Johnson State. Thomas won game one 3-2, and won game two 18-3.

Kayla Wood pitched 12 innings with just one earned run and 15 strikeouts to lead Castleton to a two-game sweep over Johnson St. this afternoon – 5-1 and 7-3.

Chris Ray Earns First in Long Jump at NAC Track and Field Championships
First year runner Chris Ray took first place in the men's long jump event at Colby-Sawyer in the first ever North Atlantic Conference Championship and Invitational Meet on Sunday, April 26th. Roughly 200 student-athletes competed in the event held at Colby-Sawyer's new track and field facility.

Eagles Take Two Against Johnson
The Husson University softball team on senior day swept a pair of conference games against Johnston State on Sunday afternoon. Husson won game one 5-1, and won game two 12-5. The Eagles improved to 22-10 overall and 10-2 in the North Atlantic Conference, while the Badgers of Johnston State fall to 8-10 overall and 3-5 in NAC play.
