All JSC classes are taught by certified instructors. Classes are open to all JSC students, employees, and SHAPE members. Classes are subject to change and may not be held during college breaks.
Spinning: Crank up the energy and burn calories fast in this high intensity cardiovascular class. Everyone can adjust the difficulty of the ride and are encouraged to ride at their own pace.
Aqua Blast: Enjoy this weightless aerobics class that gets the heart pumping. The water allows for less impact on the bodies joints and bones. It uses the resistance of the water to build strength and cardio.
Zumba: Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba is a big dance/aerobic craze that is spreading world wide. Get your groove on while burning calories. Zumba means 'move fast have fun.'
Yoga:This energizing and rejuvenating yoga class welcomes all levels of "yogis." The class focuses on breathing and movement and creating strength and flexibility. You will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Fun Run/Walk: Open to all athletic/non-athletic abilities. Meet with others that have similar running or just walking ability and go for a jaunt around campus. Those who want to use this group to reach new goals like completing a 5k, 1/2 marathon or longer may choose to do so.
Cardio Boxing: This class will incorporate power, skills and conditioning through an active boxing regiment. Learn some basic movements, get the heart pumping and have a kicking good time.
Fitness Swim: This workout is with a swim coach who will give you a set workout with skills and drills to help you become a more efficient, faster swimmer. Build endurance and speed while being motivated and supported.
